Villa Rosso di Sera is a spectacular retreat home in a Caribbean style with a Mediterranean feeling. Set on a ridge overlooking picturesque Taylor Bay on the ocean and iridescent Chalk Sound , it captures the ocean breezes which naturally flow through the entire house.
Spacious living and dining areas are enhanced by a fully equipped kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances, granite counters and also has an adjacent wet bar that is a natural area for conversation.
The four well appointed luxurious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are situated to maximize unique views. All bedrooms have king size beds with two of them able to be separated into king singles. The bedrooms are spread over the three floors, allowing much privacy for a variety of accommodation
Designed and built by the owner who is a builder by profession, it is the result of studying Caribbean style for over 20 years. There are screened areas to dine and relax, a total of four places to dine in the house and around the pool. The upper floor has terraces with ocean views on three sides so there is always a right place to catch the breeze or take a nap. Nestled on one of the many porches is a double hammock for that necessary afternoon drift off!
The fully mature tropical landscaping provides a secluded feeling to the property, especially around the walled pool and generous deck area. The pool is 16 x 26' with an generous stair entry on one side that doubles as a conversation pit. The pool is 4'-6" deep which makes it very safe for children and adults but still allows for swimming lengths. The walls around the generous 2000 sf. pool deck makes the villa a very attractive setting for family gatherings and special events.
Attention to architectural detail is a hallmark throughout the house -the finishes are rustic and relaxed. Entirely trimmed out in Caribbean cedar inside and Western Red Cedar outside, the color palette is a mix of pale yellow, ocher and reddish browns that is soothing to the eye.
Other amenities include a private gym, a spacious hot tub, flat panel television in every room, Wi Fi throughout and kayaks. Guests have the use of private tennis courts nearby.
Above all, a short 2-3 minute walk brings you to secluded Taylor Bay Beach which rarely has more than a few people on it's entire half mile length. The water is usually quite warm as it is a protected lagoon and the fine white sand and shallow slope to the beach makes it especially appealing for young children and adults alike. The villa comes equipped with kayaks , beach chairs , beach umbrellas, coolers and snorkeling equipment, all of which enhance the beach experience
